Black- 2000 SS Camaro M6
i think everyone knows about it ,but chevy hasn't released any specs or engine options that are definite. As soon as some options are released, talk will really pick up again.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
One of the local Chevy dealers here in Phoenix (Van Chevrolet I believe) is currently airing a commercial on TV about having a lottery contest where they're giving away an 09 Camaro. You have to test drive a new vehicle and sit through their sales pitch. They don't mention what type though. I've thought about doing it even though they're across town from me.

Jetstream Blue Metallic- 2008 Z06 Corvette
My local dealer said each dealership will get 4, and we can expect to see them in Dec. 08..with the Vert in Spring. The lastest mag said that GM has confirmed that the Camaro will get the LS3, that makes sense because they want to streamline production, and the Vette already has the LS3 with 435HP. The Camaro is slated to get a 400HP version, with a 450HP Hi-Po optional version. GM is suppossed to be offering all kinds of aftermarket type options through their own dealerships. I.E. headers, CAI, suspension upgrades, etc...

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Time will tell on when it "officially" comes out. I hear so many stories it makes my head spin. I have no doubt it will be produced. I intend to wait til about mid year to see what comes about with availability, price, options, bugs, etc. I'd like to buy a loaded boat vert SS or Z28 as a daily driver. That way I can retire the 89 RS and turn the 02 Z28 into a "street legal" track only car.
67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...

2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

I wonder if GM will underrate the LS3 in the new camaro like they did with the 4th generations?

Have a few friends working for Chevy and it is set to release in 09. Cant wait to see what options are gonna be available for them, it should be pretty sweet. I just hope the price tag doesnt get real high on em so they end up getting discontinued again. Wayyyyyy to many Stangs on the road..

i read in car and driver or a mag like that, that they are going to be base priced at $25k with a top of the line running around $35k.

I dont see how its not. The LS2 was about 50 HP more than the LS1 with slightly better heads .3L more and slightly hotter camshaft. The LS3 has much better heads .2 more liters and better camshaft yet could "only" muster 35 more than an LS2? It's underrated or detuned for hotter versions IMHO.
