Gear Ratio
need help on what size are the stock gears on a 1999 ponitac trans am?

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
for?? a a4 hi-po is gear ratio is 3.23.

...performance option for an A4 is 3.23's. The standard is 2.73's.

Easiest way to tell, if the driveshaft is rusty you have 2.73's if it is still aluminum 3.23's.

2.73 cars came with steel driveshafts (hence rusty). 3.23 Cars with the aluminum one (not rusty). Part of the package. If previous owners switched them out it is an entirely different ball game of course.
