how much should i pay for a used SS hood?
well this is guy is from this site and the color matches but after 2 emails he want me to make a offer. ( was thinking 250 +pick up since he is about 300 miles away), but was asking what should i offer him casue he says its perfect and the color matches soo
any help thanks

hes susppoed to take some close up of hood and im having him take pics of the serial number caseu he said its stock and would like the SLP orver a aftermarket for fittement

This post is more than likely in the wrong place but.......
I paid around $800 for mine picked up, color matched but paint had lot of chips. If you can get it for 250 I would say it is a steal and well worth the 300 mile trip. Anything 500 or under you should be in good shape, an aftermarket hood and paint job will run you around 800 and you don't get the OEM fitment and will need hood pins to hold it down properly.

I paid $300 on Ebay +$150 to ship for a damaged one and called that a good deal. Aside from having to drive all day to get it I would say $250 would be a steal. But if it were mine, I wouldn't sell it for under $450-$500, especially knowing it already matches the color of your car.

got mine 650 picked up.. PERFECT shape. No swirls.. no chips. Paint matched.
250 is dirt cheap.

got mine a suncoastcreations hood at swap meet that was slightly wrecked for 80 bones. free paint job. did most of the body work myself.
are there any swap meets around your area?

heck i know a guy that had a red ss hood, posted it on ls1tech, said the first person who comes to get it gets it free. 2 guys showed up and they tossed a coin lol
