You're going to have to work at it. I've had my smoked headlights for 3 days now and I'm still fine tuning them. Try washers, longer bolts, or anything else you can think of.

so far i have tried washers, and changing out the bracket off of the o.e. headlights. i think i almost got it, but then there is a small gap there, and then the seal doesnt match up to the other one against the hood. i figure by the time i get them both looking about the same, and then that night i go to line up my lights so i can see, by turning the set screw, i will probably put it all out of wack again. but i need to take it one step at a time and seal the gap, then match both up all the way around, then adjust. yes, if you couldnt tell, these lights are getting the best of me. thanks for any input guys.

Heh...I'm on my 3rd night of tweaking mine, and still only have light shining about 10 feet in front of my car and all in the center. I'm going to try a very long bolt and about 8 washers tomorrow.

It's tricky but it can be done. I used washers to get my headlights to fit against the bumper. I had the same issue with my factory headlightsas well. This link will help you to adjust the light up more but you will most likely still need washers to get rid of the gap. This can be used on any headlight set up.
