    Need Video help please.

Hi- I just got a new dvd recorder and it came with some editing software.
I am new to this and not the greatest on the computer either. My question is-I want to add music to my video but the software only allows abs,ac3,aif,aifc,aiff,au,mp2,mp3,mpa,snd,wav, and wma files to be used for audio. The music I have in my itunes library comes from cds I buy and then I put them in my laptops disc drive and import them which gives me the best quality sound. Is there a way to convert songs from cd quality sound to mp3 quality or another one of the above formats so I can use it in my video? If not-could you tell me how to go about getting music in a format that my video software will accept? I even bought a mp3 from itunes and it wouldnt work either. Can anyone give me an idea or help me out? I would really appreciate it! Thanks! Mike

There are many audio converters online you can download for free. Check out www.cnet.com/downloads and look for "audio converters" hope that helps a little bit

I went to that site you suggested-found the program, dloaded it, reformatted my song, and put it in my test video-no problems at all. I didnt know I would have to download software to reformate-I thought my computer had that capability already untill you told me otherwise. Thanks again!!!
