Me vs Cobra
One of my buddies just bought a 03 cobra with a catback and a intake and i am nervous that he is going to beat me when we decide to go at it. This is going to be a grudge race because he had an 07 stang gt (Auto) that i used to kill and now all he keeps doing is telling all my friends that his car will walk all over me. I ran a 12.9 on one of the worst tracks in the area before my lca's, panhard rod, LT's and the new clutch. I am definitily a better driver than him so i know i have the advantage . I will never hear the end of it if i lose so let me know wat you think.

chances are unless he miss shifts he will take you, but it will def be close if he has stock pulley and isnt tuned.

I live in Va Beach, and sold a 99 T/A a few years ago. Might be the one you have.

Just race him and see what happens... if he beats you who cares... he had to go through 2 cars in order to actually beat you... which he might not even be able to do... until he gets to know the car real well

All I have to say is '03's are fast and I have seen them trap as high as 114mph bone-stock. He might get you, but what else do you expect from a supercharged V8?

Are you going to be racing from a dig or a roll? So what if he beats you this time around? Get some gears, etc. and go back at it.

my 2 cents...
track wise you may come up even if you run 12.9 consistent... with him .2 ahead... which is respectable. street wise he'd pull on you several cars.
I ran an '03 Cobra, he was catback, pulley and tuned (430rwhp) and put 5 cars in front of him 50-110mph. I am at 488rwhp 480tq. not trying to put you down but termi are pretty nasty stock with just catback and a tune. he should be at 410rwhp with just that...
in any event run him at the track and let us know...
