Black Rubber around the Glass

Some of the black rubber around the windows are fadding.. what should I use to prevent it from getting worse or restoring it?

plastic-X should work

I have some plastic-x in my garage. I will try that. If that doesn't work, I'll pick up and try Wizard's.
