altenators and battery swap?
Ok just today everything shut down on me going home. All the dash needles were down for the count all showing zeros with the exception of the oil guage. So I took off the altenator and battery cause it was completley dead and gave everything to autozone so that i can check out both it, turned out that the battery is no good and the altenator is also no good. So thats that. What, I would like to know from any body is what items to replace them with. So I was wondering if i can go with a performance altenator or is that bull, should i just stick to a regular altenator. Battery, should I go with a gel battery from autozone or another type?

Altenators are all the same unless you go with a diff amp due to a Stereo etc. I would reccomend sticking with the stock size replacement, just a delco or something along those lines, as far as a battery i would steer clear of the delco, i havent had much luck with them, I personaly picked up an optima battery because it looked cool but any type of battery would work just fine, just check on the cranking amp and match them up to what the factory reccomends.

I picked mine up online but im pretty sure you can get the msd wires from Autozone, might be a special order item but they can get them, for the plugs you can call around localy or try one of our sponsers and they should have what you need.
