Did you see how clean his car is? You can fix a rear main seal real easy if you know how to work on cars, the engine problem can be solved by jus getting a low mileage junkyard motor. Fox body 5.0's are in high demand and can command quite a bit more money then you think. A clean 5.0 is worth more money then your 98 gt is regardless of your mileage and how clean your car is jus because the 5.0 is more desirable then your particular car.

I would not try to build up a 5.0 . Its lacking some CI, I used to have a 94. It was real torque ie. But when you lined up with someone, you realized it wasnt that fast. Just my .02

I sold it to some guy who called me back and told me he put a SC on it and some other goodies. I wonder what he runs. 100 to 1 says he would have been better off buying an ls1.

Someone that really doesnt know how to negotiate lol More then likely its probably some guy buying a car for his son or an over anxious buyer. That car is definitely pretty sharp looking, I'd like to see other pics. If his engine wasnt an oil burner even with the tranny whine I'd buy that car for 4k. my t5 whines a lil, its not that uncommon on high mileage t5's. My trans handles the power pretty good though, my engine has lots of mods.

I feel you dude. Ls1s are definitely badass and a stronger engine to start with. But theres as many parts, stroker kits, etc for 5.0s as there is ls1s. They can be made quite fast. Someone needs a ride in my friends paxton novi2000 347 stroker car I think lol 535 rwhp out of that fucker lol

the guy knows what he's doing, he was looking for a clean fox, and mine was about as clean as it gets for what i paid, i talked a guy down to 5000 last october, put it in my garage and it sat and the gaskets went to shit over winter. recently got into T/A's so i decided to sell it for 6 with my two spare blocks and a bunch of random junk. this guy knew how to look at a fox, he checked the hatch the jams, everything. told me he'd give me 4500 cash i said ill find another buyer, started getting in the car and he said fine 6 with every spare part you have.
deal
heres more pics
