SLP Cold Air Kit
Just installed one and now the service engine soon light is on =\ Probably something to do w/ the MAF? I did start the car up once without anything hooked up? Have anything todo with it?

lol the MAF was dissconnected when u started it up??? bad idea!! n yeah it has everything to do with it. just go to advanced n tell them to read n delete the code

Is there any way to clear it manually w/o the scanner? Ive never reset the computer in this car before, dont even know if it would do anything... Yeah the shop i was doing it in, this dude has his POS parked in front of the camaro and was a real cocksucker and HAD to leave that second so i jumped in it w/o hookin anything up and WAMO there's mr check engine light

outch....what an asshole there might be a way to reset it manually
i kno installunivercity.com has alot of info on our cars look in the install section n i think go to "Lids" it should say...sry for the lack of help

might can just un-hook the batter for a few minutes. That clears it on some type of vehicles...

I was thinking the same thing with the battery, leave it disconnected for a few minutes, then drive it for a while and see if it goes off.

I think you can just have the code read, and then it will clear itself, as long as it's not detecting a problem any longer.
On my '98 Olds, I worked on it but the engine light was still on. I went to Autozone, and they read the code for free. After they read it, I started the car back up and the light was off.

i meant to post this a few days ago, but actually... I brought the car home w/ the light on, washed it up, cleaned out the inside (was going to a car show/meet) and when I was goin down the road I noticed the light had gone off by itself... SWEET

After several ignition cycles it'll go off by itself if the problem doesn't duplicate itself....which it shouldn't since you have the MAF and IAT plugged in
The codes are still in the memory though...
