Whats the cheapest way to get good traction for winter driving....chains?

On your F-bod? Well Kumho All season tires ain't bad, but nothing is really gonna help much.

wow $200 and it has good tires? does it run too? i like the park it idea but a good set of winter tires and traction control is probably the best bet

I just spent $100 on a 1987 2-door S-10 Blazer. Bought an o2 sensor and it went right through emissions. Best 100 BUCKS I've spent in a long time!!!!!

slow way down and either clutch a lot with a m6 or neutral a lot with an a4 try not to hit your brakes much

just takin it eaaaaassssssyyyyy on the gas you should almost never even need to go past 1/4 - 1/2 throttle at most. also leave plenty of space/time for braking, drive slow, and take turns nice and easy with extremely little to no gas.

You know, I tried all of this shit, trying to drive my Camaro in the snow for 5 years and it was never worth it. Yes, I did it, should I have, No, did I get into some close calls, Yes. IMO, just get a beater. The salt and sinders take their toll on the paint around the inner-fenders.

Is it city or country driving? Here in Pa. I am lucky if they plow my 3 roads leading to my house within 3 days of a storm.

If you have to drive it, get snow tires for the rear.

They don't do that bad, but the torque has to be controlled. An all season tire will do the trick, but a snow tire will make it decent in the snow.

ive heard putting a couple sand bags in teh back should help, or in my case the 10" sub should help a lil lol. also if u get snow tires ive heard that you really should get all 4 because if you cop out an only get two, the rear might grip while the front it goin

I was told where the wheels were located weight in the back wouldn't really do much? I have a beater Honda Accord that I drive in the winter. I tried driving the trans am the first bad winter and that was that.

I just got my T/A 3 weeks agoand cant afford a beater. Got 4 new snows and 240lbs of sand bags in back and I almost still cant control it here in sunny Buffalo! Not to mention I am looking at it out my window burried under a pile of snow.

This is my first winter with an f-body but I've drivin alot of diffrent cars/trucks in the snow that was rear-wheel. best thing that I find out is weight on the back is always a plus(till you have to push the thing lol). And just take it real easy, know what you can do in the snow with the car and just allow yourself more time to get to places and act like your grandma when it comes to driving.
