Can dealer tell if you swapped in a ls6 intake manifld
Is there a way of installing a 02 ls6 intake manifold on a 2000 vette without using the block off caps? Can you buy all new collent lines, so they will hook up perfectly, no cutting or bypassing? A friend said if Iwere to buy the o2 ls6 coolent lines they would hook right up to my 00 vette radiator????
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

the vette never came with an EGR. so, unless the person knows what he's looking at, he'll never know. and yes, buy the LS6 coolant line. if you use the LS6 coolant line, you have to get the plugs to cap off the rear of the heads. i know some have just notched the manifold to clear the LS1 coolant line without issue as well.

There is a difference looking at them if you know what your looking at. But most of the guys probably want have a clue. If you have them side by side you can tell.

Thanks guys, but do you HAVE to cap of the coolent lines?
Is there a way of just buying all the right ls6 parts ie. coolent lines etc. to have the lines hook up like in a stock ls6 or even a 01-05 ls1 engine which came with a ls6 intakewithls6 intake?
THAnks Again, Steve

The GM number on the rear plugs is 12570678.You will need two. I'm not sure what the frt pipe number is. I just cut off the pipe going to the rear , peened it over then brazed it to make sure of no leaks.

Thanks, I keep hearing plug the lines. Do the 01-05 vettes come from the factory with plugged lines? Or do they run different cooling systems? If they do run diifrent cooling set up is it possible to buy all the parts so no plugged lines are exposed?
Anybody?.....Someone out there has to know.........Thanks

SLP sells the kit you need. It has everything you need to put an LS6 intake on your engine, including the plugs and EGR crap.
