    smart idea??

I was thinking about getting a cutout for my car soon. I was looking at a QTP cutout. My only concern is that his will be my set up... LM, QTP lts, QTP catted y, loudmouth resonator. Will this be abnoxiously loud??? And will i see any HP gains if any??

I don't think you would find anything to really notice. Ya gotta figure the LM I resonator is nothing more than a hollow tube, so in theory its straight pipe back from your Y pipe. To add a cutout might save the exhaust from running through a few more feet of open pipe n e way...i couldnt see why you would gain hp....but the sound would be louder id imagine, depending on where u weld them in.....if u want crazy loud get two cutouts, one per side of the Y pipe straight from the headers.....crazy crackly lol.
