will you be doing the work yourself IE internals, engine removal?

because you will need like 5-10 grand just in labor costs,
you will need a lot of suspension parts for traction, and either a 250 nitrous kit or a good supercharger setup, with approprite cam and heads, and headers etc...

LOL he can spend the money on his "real" power mrr23 however if he beats someone like you or me then we can just open the glovebox and grab the next higher jet

just picking on him a little. i think, he meant to say 'part time' power.

l meant l wanna have at least 400rwhp with no nirtus.. l love how nitrus kicks engines and give a lot of power but just for a few secs. and sure in the future l will use too.. but first l wanna make some real power on my engine.

Ive seen F-bodies get into mid 11's with a basically stock motor. It's all in weight removal-and traction. Careful suspension tuning and DOT slicks, a good tune (reflash the computer) and experience can do it. Brute power can help someone less experienced do it also-not trying to knock any one here, just relaying what I've seen work.

lid, TB, intake, pulleys, heads, cam, long tube headers, catback exhaust or cutout, full tune
gears and clutch (m6)
Stall and possibly gears (a4)
Subframe connectors, LCA's, Torque arm
Sticky tires.
That should get you an 11 second car.
I'm not an 11 second car. I'm missing the clutch, gears, pulleys, torque arm, and TB. With those, I'd be in the 11's with good conditions.2002 Trans Am 6sp, SLP lid, Holley filter, Shaner S3 TB, Jet Hot long tubes and cats, FRA, HP tuners, Hotchkis STB and LCAs. TEA stage 1.5 5.3 heads, Comp 220/224 114 +2, UMI Boxed SFCs, Edelbrock PHR. Moser 9" 4.11 gears.

Or you can do all that and just spend $1000 more and have yourself an extra safe 150hp haha. Getting off topic here a little but i dont want to make a new topic if i dont have to. Do used cams sell well at all? I want to get rid of my crane (its based in the mid range, i feel it dropping off heavy right at or a little below 5) for something big along the lines of a trex. And am i going to need new retainers and springs? Mine are ti as it is now but im not sure with the springs might need to be stiffer or weaker, etc. Thanks.

to get in the 11's gears are an absloute must in this situation

You would better answers starting a thread in the 'internal engine' section-and yes that is off topic a little. ( Talking about the cam I mean)
