    2000 Camaro SS

    Spark Plug 4 & 5 socket does not fit.

    I have an LS1 (5.7) with new AFR heads and TSP long tube headers. I cannot get a socket on the spark plugs for cylinders 4 & 5, all other plugs are in. Header flanger appears to be interfering with the socket. The plugs are 16mm (5/8). I tried a thin wall 12 point deep well socket, it did not work either. What are your tips and tricks, other than a $50-75 "special" socket, or removing the headers and notching the flange. Thanks for your help!!

    Thats interesting, I have PRC heads and LT?s (should be similar enough) and the only plug that I cant get a socket on is #8.

    Have you tried coming at it from the top/bottom (the opposite of thwat your are doing now)
