Just how valuable is a 1986 Buick Grandnational?
I decided to test the market with my car and in two days i have recieved 50 calls and texts and no one has even tried to talk me down money wise. My car is far from perfect put it runs and looks decent. After doing research it seems they only made 5500 of these in 1986 so it is pretty rare. How much do you think a 86 is worth? Not sure if i will sale or not............

I've seen several at the last two mecum auctions I've gone to. I'm down at the Kissimmee auction right now. There was a 1987 GNX here with 287 miles on it. I think it sold today no reserve for like 80ish somewhere. It was about the condition your expect a 287 mile car to be in (perfect). I also saw some meh drivers and they were 10-12k cars. Just depends on condition overall.

Unless you are in desperate need of cash, you should def hold onto it. The value of these cars just keep rising. Keep it in good running condition and don't over modify it. It seems that most people add on soooo much aftermarket stuff to make them faster, which is more fun to drive, but decreases the value to the next potential buyer.

I have looked at these for years at Carlisle. Lower mile GN's are generally priced in the $22,500 to $25,000 range in good condition. I have seen them also priced north of $30,000...

My dad has an 86 GN with 24,XXX on the clock, I would say it worth some where between $20,000 and $20,000.

How many miles are on your car? What do you mean by "far from perfect but looks decent and runs"? Does it run well? Does everything work? Is the interior in good shape or all there? Rust? Body work needed?

You forgot a shot of the engine bay.

Looks super clean for the miles. Seats been recovered?
