Opinion on Turtlewax Colored Wax and chipstick..
Has anyone used the Turtlewax colored wax with the chipstick to take care of small chips and such and how well did it work?

I tried the red wax and chip stick on my red bird. The wax seemed as though it worked well but it made a mess with my hands and towels. The chip stick sucks. It was a different color and looked horrible. You would be better off buying a crayon and using that instead of the chip stick...it might look better! I got touch up paint with a touch up primer and a touch up clear coat and took care of it with that. It looks better and matches the paint and lasts longer then that s#it!!! It costs less then $20 at Auto Zone

06-08-2006, 08:24 PM #6Its made by dupli-color. Its a kit that is called "Scratch Fix 2 in 1 Premium Touch up repair Kit"...it comes w/ spot putty...filler primer...clear coat...sanding block &sand paper... and ultra finishing compound. Then seperatly you can buy the paint to match your car. you can find it in the touch up paint section at the auto parts store. It takes a little practice but the paint is a perfect match. I however like to use my own brush as the brush in the bottle is too wide and bushy. I hate the putty though so I don't use it anymore. You can't tell unless you are real close. I deal with small details in my work and I am very satisfied. Just follow the steps.
