A little bit of overkill and probably a big no no!
So I frequent a Snowmobile forum and there is a drag racer pushing his 1200 to what pretty much has to be a freakin max record for a bone stock motor (Stock Pistons, rods, crank, etc..)
Ski Doo 1200 Turbo pushing 507 track horsepower and 329 track torque with 29lbs of boost!
Stock these push out 130 engine horsepower┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐
Man: The Mods you are fighting,
they are the biggest Men I have ever seen. I
wouldn't want to fight them!
Me: That is why no one will remember your name!

Another update, sled weighs 515 lbs!!!! Thats insane! Who needs that much power? Why wouldn't you upgrade the internals? I asked why the dyno sheet doesn't match the claims but I guess its the only sheet he posted. They hit the higher power after some tweaking the tune.

so the hp to weight ratio is almost a 1:1.

Big Hammer nails it! Been posting and sounds like this motor can take it like a champ. Uses cracked rods just like the LSX platform. Haven't gotten vids

buddy of mine just bought the same style sled pretty sure.... havent seen it yet, but from what ive heard, its nuts.... i wanna say his started out with around 180 horse, and with a can and a tune could be up to 230-240 very easily

^ I would bet my bottom dollar you are talking about the new Arctic Cat 1100 Turbo. 177 hp stock and with a few tweaks, mid 200's are cake. Low 300's are easily made with 4 or 5 mods. These ski doo's are 1200 stock and only 130 hp without a turbo. Turbo costs around $5-$6K extra.

ah, your probably right, i just heard him talk about it and never really paid attention what exactly it was, and this thread reminded me of it.... either way, hes jacked about it and it sounds like for good reason

just noticed--- that's 507 TRACK hp???? that's insane considering the near 35% drivetrain loss. that could be over 680hp out of that 1.17 liter!

Have any plans of throwing NOS/Turbo on that thing now that you know what they can handle?
