T minus 14 hours Til i pick up my car again

June 25 2009 my beautiful son Collin was born. At the Time, I had My 98 Formula 1 of 44 , a 2001 HEAVILY modded R1 sportbike, and my crappy 93 dodge dakota DD. My Fiance was laid off (which was ok) but with the newborn, there wasnt much time for playing. So my car sat most of the summer. Winter was coming up and between the car payment and full insurance it was about a $350 payment a month. I have a 1 car garage which at the time was FILLED with snowmobiles, ( i part out stuff for extra cash ) and a storage locker big enough for my car was 50 a month. So all together i was paying around $400 a month to let the car sit....and with money starting to get tight i put the car up for sale and ended up trading it for a 2000 silverado ext. cab. I took the trade because the truck was more practical and if im gonna pay for something in winter i better be driving it right? The guy ended up giving it to his daughter for her 16th birthday...i was crushed when he told me.....ANYWAYS 2.5years later im going through my facebook and theres the picture of my car. I'm thinking "man what i would give to get my car back." Hopped on craigslist and BOOM second one listed "1 of 44 Firebird Formula"....I'm thinking no way....click the link and there she is. His daughter is going to college and wants to sell it...i asked why sell the firebird, he said she has the firebird and a fox body mustang and she needs money for college....so i obviously asked, why not sell the mustang....supposedly is some 500+ hp monster.....so i guess i'd do the same...ANYWAYS.. What are the odds. He was asking a bit much.....to the average buyer, a little jewing and previous owner car lover discount later. I got it back. Picking it back up tomorrow.

He said he hasnt done any mods to it since he's got it...still exactly the same as when we traded. Let the Mods begin.....wait let the mods CONTINUE where i left off.

man thats awesome... what are the odds is correct.. especially if she took good care of it.. you are very lucky dude.. congrats.. i know you are excited. kinda feeling the way you did when you bought it the first time?? lol

i felt so much more excited this time then when i bought it....its kinda like "you never know what you had until its gone".....Thanks guys....im so happy its finally home.... definately doing paint this winter....she did not take care of it, (many scratches..gouges..fading...and clear coat burn) Im also buying tt2's from a friend of mine. she'll be back up to par next season.
