So what product should I use to attach my SS emblems?
So now that I have my OEM SS emblems, what product should I use to attach them? (They were purchased used and have no adhesive backing.) I'm thinking some sort of 3M product, not the trim tape as that's to thick. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Subscribed. I'm pretty sure 3M makes a double-sided sticky tape that most people use that is thin that will work. Also believe this is what dealerships use for their "advertising" stuff they put on cars.

I did some checking and found that 3M makes an emblem adhesive. I was wondering if anyone has tried it?

Hmmm. Maybe that is what I was thinking of. 3M makes some pretty awesome stuff

ive used both. the tape does make the emblem stick out a little bit but hold on nicely. and its like the stuff the factory uses. and the adhesive works good too. it makes the emblem as flush as possible. just make sure your areas are super clean and you could use either or.

Heres a link to the product....I picked it up today at Autozone for about $6.00
I don't have time today, so I'm going to try and get it done tomorrow.

I personally would NEVER reuse the emblems. Attaching, then cutting the adhesive out around the SS's and then getting them perfectly level and perfectly spaced is not something I'd want to do. I just bit the bullet and bought 2 emblems from the dealership.
That way they stick perfectly and the spacing is perfect!

I'm not sure... BUT I just didn't want to take a chance and now I'm $5 down the drain. LOL
I feel/felt the same way, but $40-$60 for OEM SS emblems is just outrageous! I reused mine and had to cut around the S's (which was the worse part). With the 3M tape on the back of the emblems there's no room for error or so I thought until my cousin told me a trick. The measurements can be found on tech and the trick I was taught was mix 50/50 water & alcohol and spray the location on which the emblems will be placed and on the back of the S's and you can move them around until you find the spot that looks right to you.
