Rear bumper black out
Okay so i have a 2002 White WS6 and want to black out the lower part of rear bumper like i have seen on here. I was going to use a Carbon black and flatten the clear like i did on my Road Runner hood stripes. But we have a white Grand Prix in the shop that i have to paint the rear bumper on and its grey at the bottom. It looks good against the white too. SO anybody have black or grey pics to share? I can't decide which to go with and don't want to do it twice. THANKS

I'm gonna do mine this winter. Since I have flat black accents, I think it would look tits.

flat black is the right way, this is how the ceta cars are done, and the rear valence of lots of cars, be it trans am, bmw whathaveyou. they are done in flat, because of the idea that if exhaust gas accumulates on the bumper for long enough, it leaves a black stain on the paint, but with flat black already there, it wont have any effect.
flat black for the win.

Depends on what the rest of the car is like. If it already has black accents, ..., then black is a good choice.
Pick a color scheme & stick with it, ...
(Often referred to as the "CETA mod" because the Collector Editon Trans Am cars had that area painted black.)

I went with gloss black on mine, since I have gloss black accents everywhere to include my OE Wheels Z06 rims.

flat black on the rear bump would also make one more place that wont need to be waxed, its low maintaince, it also makes your chrome tips look shinier

Muteki, they did a great job. How much did the shop charge you?

I did a complete color change, you can view it here:
http://s283.photobucket.com/albums/kk298/Muteki308/
When I bought her, the car had the rear two quaterpanels dented in about 6 inches, the gas cap was ripped off, 2 broken rims, left front fender was torn, minor damages to the driver's door, the front suspension needed work, new battery, belt tensioner and regular body work. I changed the hood to a OEM WS-6 and put on the Z06 rims and other little minor mods. The body shop took out all the lights, door panels, seals, air box and minor stuff from the engine and painted it correctly. Yes, I wanted the engine bay to remain stock black. That way, no matter what color I change the car, it will always match.
Now, to answer your question.....nothing, they charged me nothing. I had a BMW 740il with some kick ass chrome 20s that I was selling and the owner of the shop said he would paint my car for free if he got a discouont on the car. I had it listed at high blue book and accepted low, which I was willing to go to anyways just to get away from the money pit. So, he did me a triple favor.....got rid of my debt machine, painted my T/A, and had some cash in my pocket...could I have gotten so lucky?
