The campaign alone is fucking epic the time they put into it is just amazing. Havent even tried the multiplayer yet but everything ive heard so far is great.

For like the last 2 years every time I'd go to Frys there would be a pc playing demos of the game, with developers discussing it. It looked frickin awesome and that wasn't even the final product.

I hope that's not true! After all these years of waiting, to only have 1 campaign would suck. But it wouldn't surprise me, the way companies focus on multiplayer anymore, and often skimp on single player. Bastiches.

There is only the terran campaign(with very shot protoss missions). Even though there is only 1 race for the campaign, it still trumps most other single player games.There are 30 mission each being an average of 20-40 minutes or so. So far, the single player campaign has been a cinematic experience and DOES NOT disappoint.

The other 2 campaigns will come with their own expansion, with each of the 3 campaigns having their own unique spin. The next expansion will contain the Zerg campaign, hinted to be more of an RPG than the current Terran campaign.

Instead of giving 5-10 missions for each race and having a lackluster experience with each of them as most RTS do, blizzard decided to give a fully fleshed out unique experience for all 3 races.

Thanks for the info. I'd say that with almost 10 years of dev time they coulda fleshed em all out. But I appreciate what you're saying. One really good campaign IS better than 3 half-baked ones.

Heck they probably did it this way BECAUSE of the long development time/cost. Having us pay for expansion packs to get the other campaigns will help them recover that cost I imagine.

Yeah you really can see the dev time put into and until you really see the quality and depth to it you really cant understand just how well its done. But at least you get all 3 races for multiplayer. And with the additional campaigns we will get new units and maps for multiplayer. So while probably more expensive in the long run I think it will be a much greater experience overall.

Rofl not gonna happen as long as activision controls them. They are the new EA of gaming destroying companies and customer loyalty. I think Blizz is lucky they have as much independence as they do.
