Killed an srt4. Sort of.

I guess it dont really count cus it started at 78MPH and ended at 105mph. But i did pull on him by a car lenght. I had a 200 pound passenger and a amp and speaker box in the evo too. The guy had a blue srt4 and was alone. I was driving normal then he pulls up next to me and stays there for about 4 seconds then takes off. I cought up to him and gave him the signal to go and he did the same. I was on 4th gear the whole time. He gave me a thumbs up and left.

If you only pulled on a srt4 by one length from that speed, dont even think about an ls1 until you have a lot more mods. I raced an srt4 (which he provoked) starting at about 55 with 2 other people in the car and it was not much of a race to say the least.

The thing is i could have lowered to 3rd gear and really pulled away. Instead i just waited for my turbo to kick in and stayed in 1 gear the whole time. 1 car lenght between my rear bumper and his front bumper is not bad at all. Those srt4's actually have more top end then an evo. A stock evo runs around mid 13's stock 220whp. I was just testing my 340whp. And i know ls1 is a highway monster. Thats why i want to try one.

Stock is suppost to be governed at 155mph. I had a custom flash on my ECU that removed the top speed. The tuner says it should go up to 170's if i had a far and safe enough road. He also added all this other stuff like 2 step launch control. Its set at 6k rpm and will build 12psi of boost at a dead stop.

DUDE.....If your "tuner" told you that your evo would do 170mph, he meant if you were going to push it out of a boeing 747 upon take off. I think he was making fun of you and you just didn't realize it.
