Hennessey Venom GT

"The Hennessey Venom GT will make its official debut on March 30. We know that is just few days from today, but, as you might have expected, the "secret" has been revealed. Adam Thorby had the chance to catch the car fully uncovered.

The car was caught in the Silverstone business park which is somewhere near the Goodwood Festival of Speed where the car will be unveiled.

Based on the Lotus Elise sportscar, the Venom GT will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine borrowed from the Corvette ZR1. The engine has been tuned to deliver a total of 1000 bhp @ 6600 rpm and a peak torque of 950 lb-ft torque @ 4,800 rpm. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph will be made in 2.2 seconds and top speed will go up to 262 mph." --topspeed.com

lol, if you read the entire original post, which the OP obviously copy & pasted without even reading, it even says "Based on the lotus elise" in there.

And then op asks the hurr durr looks like an elise doesn't it question to be answered with herp derp durr i wonder why

I think the flat black scheme plays well to hide the fact that it looks a lot like a Lotus Elise.

It won't live up to claims, or have any traction. Hennessey cars are overpriced and utterly fracking useless in general
