computer help.....
I have a Dell 3000, it is saying the virtual memory is low. The problems I am having are when I shut down it takes 20 mins. to load to where I can use it, also my outlook express will not open, I have another way of checking my email through my local and when I reply I can type and nothing appears on the screen for mins. at a time. When I go to web sites it slowly loads, once it's loaded it works fine. Can I install more memory myself, I really do not know too much about computers, Thanks......

when your pc is using up all of it's RAM it will take hard drive space and create virtual memory...
i copied this from another site cause i suck at explaining shit like this...
you still see the dreaded "Your system is low on virtual memory" message then the first thing to do is make sure your computer is configured to allow Windows to automatically manage the virtual memory. In Windows XP, follow these steps:
- Click Start, then open the Control Panel.
- Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Under Performance, click Settings.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Under Virtual memory, click Change.
- Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file (virtual memory) settings that you want to change. In almost every case, this will be your C: drive.
- Click to select the "System managed size" option, then click Set.
- Click OK three times and restart your computer.
