what cam did you put in? It would also help if you had before and after track times. Who tuned it?

I sent computer off to PCM for less and they tuned it pretty well.... I ran a 8.18 in 1/8th mile before cam at 89 mph. After cam swap i ran a 8.25 at 93mph spinning in 1st gear. automatic tranny by the way.. Its a comp xtreme energy cam 589/591lift and 228/230duration with a 114 lob seperation.... Is it the stock heads hurting the cam everything i did was right... Cam,beehive springs, double roller timing chain, new hardend valves, locks retainers, tune so i dont know???? Is it my stock flowing heads restricting my cam???

that's a nice cam and just going by your mph you picked up quite a bit. Get some sticky tires on there. What size stall are you running? Although your heads are holding you back and there's some HP to be gained there it sounds more like a traction issue as to why you're not feeling it's faster. The butt dyno has also known to be way off.

You posted spinning in 1st. Maybe your tires aren't up to the torque?

if you dont have a stall, get one and your car will be a whole different beast. but none of it matters if it wont hook.

Do you have Headers? If you don't i recommend getting a set of hookers it should make a difference than, my buddy has a z28 and he has a comp cam, headers and he has stock heads but his car is still pretty fast just with that set up.

Yea true a stall would help and some mickey thompsons(never buy nitto extremes) They dont hook. Thats my next step I guess,so will a stall help me perform alot better my 60ft is 208 throw 214 sucks lol. I guess I need to get it down to a 180 to 190 and hopfully i can get in the 7's... thanks guys for everything...one more thing if I do decide to go with AFR heads or something that would be a big jump in power right???? with the cam and everthing?

you're still on the stock stall with that cam? Get that stall out of there and some good tires.

Stock stall is killing you, at the track and on the street. That should be number one priority right now.

stock stall is like 1800 rpm but will a vigilante 3200to3500 be too big/?

No, coming from a 6 speed guy... I would say a 3600. Its going to still lock up like your stocker you have now.
Most guys who go with 3200-3400, almost always wish they went bigger.
