Attempted to detail my beater.
Got a 02 silverado v6 just shy of 200k miles. She's only been washed twice since I bought her 2 yrs ago. I've been trying to learn how to use my new buffer so I decided to try and clean up one side. Not many pics, but enjoi!!! (don't mind the date. Does that every time I replace the battery)
Sorry, I didn't get the angles all the same, but tried. Also debadged and pulled the trim. That shit was stuck on there after 200k...

Thanks guys. As Goose said it was the pc7424xp. I washed and clayed (guessing this wasn't necessary), then hit it up with some heavy scratch remover on a yellow pad as it was in pretty bad shape. The door was the worst, after that life got easier. Then polish and sealant. I decided against waxing this time and just went for the sealant.
Guy at the auto store saw the passenger side then the driver side and asked me if he could pay me to work on his 96 impally.Last edited by chuckie669; 02-15-2010 at 03:05 AM.

I ended up getting a 5 pack of the 5" pads goose. I definitely feel I have more control using those.

That looks great! How did you get the trim off? I have a Silverado like that, and the trim doesn't match since it was in an accident.

Hair dryer and fishing line. Peeled off most with my finger and used some wd-40 and a non abrasive rag for the nasty stuff (don't know if this is for everyone, but works for me repeatedly). If that takes it off after almost 200k miles, should work for just about anything.
