sub enclosure ?????????
i have an 02 ram air i just purchased a jl 500 1 and a 10 inch jl w7 the sub needs 1.25 sealed and 1.5 ported i would love a ported box but have only found a place that makes a box for 2 subs in the place of the t top rack i want to put 1 sub in the place of the t top rack due to weight issues. do not want the box that goes in the side its way to small and no air space just want 1 n the middle of t top rack thanx for all and any help

Its gonna have to be custom. You could just get a regular square box and set it down in the t top well. Make sure If you get a prefab box that it will work with the mounting of the w7. I had one and got a prefab box that the hole was to big considering the screws are under the surround. You may not be happy with 1 10 and as far as weight reduction The w7s are heavy as hell. Also the weight in the rear of f bodys helps more then it hurts in my opinion. In my auto 98 before my system if I slammed the gas to the floor around 20 it would just smoke the tires. now it just grabs and goes.

i measured the depth from the front to the back of the car in at 12.5 inches of clearence for my box to sit down in the width and hieght r ok. there lies the problem i cant find a box with a 12.5 depth the smallest i have seen is 13.5

Then you'll have to do something custom. If theres people throwing 2 15s in our cars then you should have no problems with a single 10.

Personally I hated mine. It was my first system and I had no idea what I was doing also so I might have a different opinion now. Mine was the w7 10 in a box ported to jl's specs on an extremely old audiobahn 900 rms amp. The main reason it sounded so bad was the fact I didn't have a jl amp that was capable of a 3 ohm load I think. And the mounting under the foam surround was cool and all but a pain in the ass..
I hope your experience with jl is better than mine

The mounting screws are under the foam surround that is part of the woofer. You have to take off the trim ring and pull the surround away to get to the mounting ring. Rather than just having an exposed mounting ring.
