wow 100 posts ???
thats alot of blabbiing and questions to ask to be able to sell.. when you can do a search on here (witch is very helpfull btw) to find out most problems that people have..
i have been a member for over 6 months and havent had to post much cuz been getting most of my questions answerd already...
i have been wanting to post things for sale.. cuz since i haven't been able to find parts for my t/a around here i have been buying whole cars and parting them out keeping the parts i want and selling all the others.. i want to offer some of the stuff to fellow members but 100 posts about questions would take me a few years to doo ... lol.....

i've made up to 25 useful posts in a day before (on other forums)
it's amazing how many people DON'T search. you can probably find 3 recent topics about lids, 2 about lca's, 3 about which brake pads to use, 5 about what shocks are best. from all your searching you probably know enough to answer some simple questions. whenever you see a thread title you may know something about, go in and post. not that difficult. i'm glad the post count is high before you can sell.

i just posted 9 times no problem and i only opened a few threads. just look for something you know about a few times a day and you'll be there in a week.

another thing i like about it is that it encourages people to contribute. i'm glad you're the kind of person who searches for their answers instead of asking tons of the super common questions, but you should also try to take your turn to answer other peoples questions. if everyone on here just searched, never asked, and never answered, there would be no site.

I'm sure we've all seen people on other forums with a first post that reads "My name is xyz, and I'm glad to be here. I'm also selling this slightly blown up transmission..." I'm glad to see this forum curbs that.

it's cut down on our issues in the for sale sections for sure. One of the better rules we've came up with IMO. I get a lot of emails with people complaining but most seem to understand why we done it and I think everyone over that 100 and 3 months is glad we done it. Can't stop all of the issues but that certainly helped.
As far as the search issue. I'm glad people use the search but I also like seeing people post up the questions. Doesn't matter how many times it's been answered....the answers can change over time anyhow if someone comes up with a newer/better way of doing things. I was doing a search at a GM diesel board a week or two ago and the first 6-7 posts I read after doing the search were posts where people asked the question and the replies would be "use the search". The staff there promotes using the search when the search isn't helping anyone because the threads are filled with "use the search" responses.
