Paint job cost

im looking into getting my hood, hatch an top of my car painted. The hood and hatch are already black but the clear coat is peeling on the hood, the top of my car is white. Im wondering if anybody has any ideas on the cost. Id also like to have some blue raceing stripes put on and at the end of the the stripes on the hood have two firebird birds one at the end of each stripe. Ao if any body has an educated guess on the cost that would help give me an idea of what im needin too spend. Thanks everyone

If they are going to repaint the hood the birds wil have to come off and be replaced. go to local paint shops and get quotes. Several quotes and also ask to see some of thier work in person not pictures. Take a good long look at thier paint jobs and see if it will meet your standards.

no i dont have the birds yet im lookin to get them put on...but ya the shops around me are crap bunch of rednecks lookin to overprice stuff cause they think you dont know whats reasonable an whats not

The more work you do yourself the better it will be. It’s not hard to sand it just takes forever. Paint is all Prep. 20 prep hours for 30 min. of painting. You may want to look into how much it would take to buy a compressor and gravity feed paint gun. You could learn on something cheap. Take the hicks out of the equation.
