I bet it's nice to have a car that will get down the track in a hurry, but still keep it's cool on the street. Gotta love modern technology.

Well, I used to always get asked at the track.. is that car stock? And I used to have to explain what was done to the car. Now people know it isn't stock, but still ask what all is done. So I figured I would write up a bit of detail on the setup.
I bought my car new in 07 and before I had many miles at all on it, it was at the track. I did change the induction to the K&N system right away but didn't get a tune after the change.
The result of that and some driving yeilded an 11.37@124 pass.
Obviously I wanted more so I built a forged bottom end and installed a progressive N20 system capable of a 200hp shot. After break in miles and some aggressive street driving winter came and race season was over.

During the winter we decided this would not be enough power and labored over the decision of which forced induction route to take, how to plant the power, what tires, what drive line, what bottom end, and the resulting build was:
APS Twin Turbo Kit
LSX 427 with all forged Internals
ETP Heads with the best parts we could find
a 4L65e Auto conversion with independent computer
Progressive Boost controller

After all was said and done... we made a few passes...
First pass...
Back in for some tuning... and results are in...
Back out to the track and 1st pass... moderate boost...
After this pass we were promptly shut down due to lack of safty equipment.

Part 4
Next trip out was to Norwalk where although my car broke it's transmission on the 2nd pass, Jason's car ran the day with some impressive times...

Later in the season we went to RPM Transmissions Track rental where the following video was taken... (best Pass 9.21@158)
That was the end of last season... over the winter we made some considerable changes.
Motor was Bored out and we used even better internals to build a 434 LSX with a bit more compression and a new cusomt spec'd cam.
On the intake you will see a new sheet metal piece.
A new larger single intercooler.
Custom made Cage, first one NHRA certifed in a C6Z.
New fuel system capable of 2000hp and setup to run on E100 (yeah that's moonshine)
and a new 4l80e conversion to hold up to the added power.
We have made a few passes so far but are still working on the final tune as well as driving skills with the new setup and transbrake. I believe after all is said and done we will be into the 8's and in the mid to high 150's but for now we have gone 9.62@150 and will continue to improve.

Keep it up.....your sooo close to the eight second range and there is no reason you should not be there very soon.....perhaps just a bit more seat time!
