First, let me state i have worked a lot on older engines, i dont have too much experience with newer engines. with that said, its not your battery if you can go out and crank it. sounds to me like some type of ignition/spark issue. chances are the spark plugs are ok, so i would start with the coil packs and work my way back. i know this probably doesnt help much, but its a start.

If you give it a little gas does it run? If it does run but really really bad when giving it gas i had this same issue. But mine was cracked valve springs.

I just went out there and messed with it, last year it did this but after 3 weeks of trying turned out to be a relay, not the case this time cause i just realized i dont hear the fuel pump kicking on when i turn the key

Yea im going with fuel pump cause after moving around the fuses and relays still nothing
Could it be possibly related to the Boost-A-Pump? Maybe but the car does have 113K on it and that is the stock fuel pump! im not sure how long they last
Does anyone know of a replacement pump cost and brand?
maybe take out the boost a pump and just go with a upgraded fuel pump

Yeah fuel pumps arent much, a nice 255 can easily deal out the fuel you need/want and is only like 150 for the 255 kit.

So you are running a Procharger with a stock pump or a stock pump and booster?
Go with a Racetronix kit.

That's what I was just thinking. Aren't you supposed to run a different fuel pump with a Procharger?
Either way sounds like a fuel pump if you can't hear it. Try turning over the car several times then stop and go to the gas cap and remove it. You should hear a vacum sound. No sound then probably bad pump. If you get the sound then check the fuel pressure regulator under the hood.
My son was having a similiar problem and all the mechanics thought it was the fuel pump. They even had him under the car with a rubber mallet on the tank to loosen any dirt that could have acumulated. I started checking the wires on the regulator and found one loose. Car runs great now. Remember to always start with the cheapest and easiest first. Good luck..Last edited by SOCAL WS6; 06-07-2009 at 10:37 AM. Reason: added

I highly recommend a racetronix fuel pump system. It's a direct replacement for your stock one. The other Walbro type need you to cut open the fuel bucket inside the tank and also modify your wiring. The racetronix just pops right in and also adds another power wire you hook up to the alternator to feed the pump more power than the stock wiring harness can provide. Trust me, it's a night and day difference.

I have read when going forced induction to always use a higher volume fuel pump. I think some supercharger kits come with upgraded fuel pumps. I may be wrong.

before you go to the trouble of tearing the pump out I would check for 12 volts back at the pump first. Might have a loose or bad connection somewhere. Thunder racing carries the racetronix stuff which is good stuff and affordable.

..what kind of horsepower boost can you expect with a stock ss if you put on the procharger..but you do the simple upgrades..cold induction, fuelpump, open the exhaust up a bit via less restrictive muffler..and how does affect the rpm at 60 mile/hr..with stock 3.42 gears doing 1400 rpm..how does it affect the quartemile times with stock gears..thank you..
