Bad Etiquette

Sorry for not posting here when I joined the site -- I didn't have any pics last month. That was remedied this morning...

The car was purchased in August 2008 as a 10 year anniversary gift for the wife (and myself!). It is a bone stock 2002 WS.6 with an A4 and 71,000 miles. We are both bona-fide car nuts to say the least.

Thank you for all the great info and assistance -- I think I have spent as much time laughing as I have learning from everyone's posts. You are a twisted bunch... and I feel right at home.

That is actually the wife's car. She bought it when she was 21 (now 40ish). We finished its restoration a little over a year ago. It's a '74, 350 c.i., Muncie, 3.55 gears, wearing a set of polished Westerns.

The C3's are sharp cars, especially now that you don't see too many of them on the road. '72 - the last year of front and rear chrome bumpers. In '73 it was rear chrome only and in '74 they were gone.

True. They are sharp cars. '72 was also the last year of the split rear bumper if I remember correctly.

Talk about kickin yourself in the ass for past mistakes. My dad had a Gold 71 LS6 vette. Numbers matching frame off resto in 87. Sold it in 89 for $7000 (needed the money for DUI and divorce.) That car is worth some major cash nowadays.
