A Florida man survived a deadly accident thanks to t-tops. The driver apparently panicked and hit the gas instead of the brakes. the way I read it was the t-tops compared to the vert. They didn't even mention hard tops.

Same structure! We had it verified in another forum.
What saved his life was that the trucks weight was offset by part of it dipping into one of the pillars as opposed to all the weight on in the center.
