My mom passed away this morning
It still hasnt hit me yet. Im sure it wont til my relatives come and see me. Weird part was I couldnt sleep last night. I kept waking up and couldnt go back to sleep. I just laid there, but ive read previous things and I guess it happens quite often. She passed away a little after 2am The question is now what do I do? Keep myself busy? Go to the gym? She had seizures for the past couple of years and had a big one 2 months ago. She left the ICU unit and went to assisted living but had a trachea because she had respiratory failure. They moved her 2 hours away from where I live in Los Angeles, and I went and saw her on saturday. So atleast I got to see her once again. Just didnt expect it to happen to me at the age of 21. But its a part of life and I think that she is doing better up in the sky.

Sorry for your loss. Go to the gym, it'll give you something to do to take your mind off of things for a while.

sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mom last August to complications from diabetes. She was in a similar situation to your mom. Assisted living ( nursing homes) suck and I honestly feel my mom is in a better place now. I was just like you too when mom died. I wasn't sure what to feel because it didn't really hit me right away. I would say just remember the good times and listen to the stories that'll come up during the funeral from your older relatives ( if you're family is like mine). My aunts and uncles all had real good stories about mom that I'd never heard. It's a tough thing man and I feel for you. It takes a while for it to really hit you and I'm not sure if you ever get completely past it because I haven't yet. I have 2 small kids and when I look at them I sure wish my parents were here to see them. Just focus on the good things and know she isn't suffering anymore. Listen to those stories too, that helps a lot.

Sorry to hear. The gym is a good idea, anything to keep your mind occupied with something else is a good idea. Hang in there.
