Bring piston to topmost position in cylinder, mark cylinder wall at the top of the piston. Now put piston at bottommost position. Pour liquid into cylinder until it reaches where you made the mark. Do it 8 times since there are 8 cylinders, add it all together, and you get 5.7 liters.

heres an easy conversion factor bewteen cubic inches and liters:
multiply the liters by 60, and u get the cubic inch displacement.
obviously, if u have the CI displacement, divide by 60 and thats how many liters u got...
its a measure of inside the cylinder (combustion area)
(bore x stroke) x #ofcylinders = displacement
bore = the diameter of the cylinder
stroke is the distance traveled by the piston inside the cylinder.
get it?

if u multiply 5.7 by 60 you get 342 CI...arent the ls1's 346?
