Once I ran my Crown Vic until it said I had 2 miles until empty. it was surging and chugging. I made it though

I refill at 1/8 tank on the Trans Am.
I've let my old Chevelle run dry once at home and I coasted it into a gas station twice. (almost wrecking it the first time) It didn't have a fuel gauge though.

lol our old 88 chevy truck, the fuel gauge dont work, so we just go till it starts to sputter on takeoffs, and we fill it up. BUT we never drive it more than 10mile from home so it dont matter.
