Eagle 383 Stoker?????????
Does anyone think it would be worth it?

I have an Eagle crank as the foundation for my 383. What's not to like? However, there are some very competively-priced 402/408 set-ups that don't cost much more than building a 383. The 4.00 bore opens up a lot of choices for heads and valve size, wheras the 3.90 bore in my 383 is limited by physical valve size and valve shrouding.

For a 383 you will re-use your block and replace the rotating assembly, unless you buy an entire short-block. The nice thing about a 383 is that if you already have nice heads, you can re-use them as well. If you go up to a 4.00 bore, the 3.90 heads will probably be less than optimal...

hmm.....if it would be the same as far as cost I believe I would go with the more cubes on a iron block....or are you talking about 402-408 on my stock block?

he only builds motors. he did me a favor and installed mine for 600. now it depends on what you want inside. tell me what motor and hp# your looking for and ill give you some prices. btw he gets 15% off most whole sell prices so if you do buisness with him he will help you all he can. like i said pm me and we will talk. i dont want to do this on the thread because he is not a sponsor. and i do respect all the sponsors here, or we would have a great site like this.
