Serpentine Belt on Power Steering pulley
After my car ate a serpentine belt in the matter of a few miles I looked into it further. For some reason a 1/4 of the belt is running off the power steering pulley towards the motor. Now i'm guessing that when the alternator was replaced maybe the pulley on the alternator was reversed and is a 1/4" out of line causing it to run that way on the power steering pulley. All the other pulleys have high rims so it stays put but the back of the power steering pulley has a low rim.
Does anyone know if the alternator pulley can be turned around so that it will in turn bring the serpentine belt out farther from the motor so it will run correctly in the power steering pulley??
