My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
growing up...
growing up sucks. 2 years ago zboner and I used to start our weeknights @ 9pm/10pm/11...just go out, romp around, make some noise and hit the hey. now i look as the clock strikes 11:06 and say 'man, it's so late..." even though i'm not going to work tomorrow
I just feel like i've lost that youthful spirit and i always told myself to stay 22 forever...this sucks....i don't wanna grow up!

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
You guys are weak! I'm in my 50's and I still burn the candle at both ends and sometimes in the middle too. Full time job (40+ hrs/week) + gigging with a band on the weekends (still a heavy metal fan) leaves me with very little time to sleep, but I'm an insominiac anyway so it doesn't matter.

yeah i am weak ass hell. that band stuff takes its toll on you too. my roommate was the drummer for a band and i used to go run lights for his band cuz we got free drinks all night at the bar. getting done at 1am, tearing down till 2 or 3, home at like 4 kicks your ass!

i went on a cruise with my family and it was my great uncle who's 80 that was up all night till 2 or 3 a.m. in the hot tub with the ladies or at the casino...I hope I have some of his genes when I'm older (well...not the ladies in the hot tub part!)

My only advice is to take 2 ecstacy pills and hit the best nightclub in town. Then you will get hooked back into youth. Guaranteed.
Anyway its all in your mind. If you say, fuck it I'm going out tonight no matter what, then your bound to have a better time than crying at home about how you've lost your youth.

Havng a great wife ten years younger than me is always a good reason to go to bed. Otherwise, between working weddings and racing, and some IT consulting and writing the time of day does not much matter to me.
I am usually up by 6:00am and usually bedtime is somewhere after 11:00pm
The difference at age 48 is that I have to eat my hot kashi cereal in the morning, take my blood pressure and cholesterol medication, a multi vitamin, and my anti-heartburn stuff. Then I get to drink my pot of coffee whereas before I skipped the medicine and cereal.
I too play guitar whenever possible and will be playing with a band this Saturday night for my 30th high school reunion...
