B2300 (Fluffy) Retired- Plain-Jane Dodge Truck
Depends on the year.
93-95 Cobras were 5.0s with a bit better heads & intake than a GT. 93s were rated at 235 HP (GT was 205), and 94/95 were rated at 240 HP (GT was 215).
96-01 were N/A aluminum 4.6s, DOHC, 4V heads. GTs were iron block, 2V heads, SOHC. The difference in power was much more significant from 96+ than it was from 93-95.
96-98 were rated at 305 HP, and typically put down 260-ish RWHP. 96-98 GTs were rated at 215/225 (98).
99/01 (there was no regular 2000 Cobra) were rated at 320 HP, and typically put down 275-ish RWHP. Note that 99s were recalled due to inconsistent power (some made what was advertised, some made a LOT less). Also, 99/01 Cobras have an IRS. 99+ GTs were all rated at 260 HP.

I also hear that after you pass the 100 kill mark...you get to be a patron saint or something... but I don't have the full info on that...

wow that sounds killer......i'll check to see how close i am.
but most blue ovals steer clear of me. i am stuck to racing lt1's ls1's and a few imports if i feel like playing
but is there any thing for you to run down there?

Over here this is Mustang Central...so I'm sure I'll be Patron Saint of PR... by the time I'm 30something...
it's been lacking in the past few months cause of the rising fuel prices and all... (yes we suffer when you suffer)... but there's a big sense here...the Metro Area is so meshed together...that it has become a huge concentration of Gear Heads in one area...mostly imports though...and the odd F-body(Mainly me)

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
i love these threads..i'm not all on ls1's dick or anything..but mustang owners always say..oh only a pulley..only a exhaust, headers, pulleys, tune and gears and then ls1's could barely run with a mustang.....always side stepping the fact that mustangs are heavier and underpowered..dont bring weak ass statements like that. stock for stock ls1's walk almost every mustang..besides the terms ..but thats a whole other story. give a ls1 those same mods and then run that mustang with the same mods and see what happens..just be realize that the ls1 is faster then your stock stang motor. period.

Quick question for you there shady milkman. What is the quickest stock-motored M6 LS1 you are aware of?
By "stock motor", I'm referring to those cars which have external bolt-ons only, ie...internally stock, no modifications to the heads, stock cams, stock short block, etc. Typical mods would be full exhaust, gearing, suspension, weight reduction, perhaps aftermarket intakes, etc.
Thanks.
Bob
PS....Note I specified M6 because quite frankly, Ford automatics generally suck, and can't compete (performance wise) with their GM counterparts. Manuals, on the other hand, all come from the same company (TTC).
