    More bolt on questions

I am looking into an SLP Y-pipe, good buy? I also have a flowmaster on my car now and have decided to boot that thing off and I am going to buy a magnaflow, thoughts? Also I hate to beat a dead horse but an electric cutout goes at the end of the Y-pipe and before the muffler, right.
Also should I get an SLP cold air intake or just the lid? the car is stock right now. Thanks guys and gals

Don't bother with the slp y, if you're going to keep the manifolds do the random tech with cats.
The magnaflow catback is a good one.
The cut out goes just after the y pipe and just get the lid, the cold air intake is not worth the trouble for the few horses you get unless you want to squeeze every possible bit and are willing to put up with running hotter, more dirt in the air filter and possible hydroloc in the rain.

Do not buy SLP parts. Not only do they rape you, their customer service is horrible.

I agree with the guy above. Random Tech.

If you are stock then do a lid and SFC first. Then get yourself a nice Magnaflow or Hooker CB. Headers after that, unless you have an A4, then get a stall next. How much you spending?

I was saving for a head and cam combo but Im getting restless so maybe in the ball park of....800 or so. I would like to get the Y muffler cutout and lid, plus intsall, how do the electric cutouts get power? just a battery hook up? also where ot buy the random tech w/ cats? Will the random tech work w/ headers?

ah, great thanks, just got this 01 ws6 and its totally stock except for an airhog aircleaner. the guys over on clubgp (other car is a gtp) said to come here and start asking questions... nicely.

so bolt ons to get as a start:
sub frame connectors, airbox lid, the metal tray air mod is apparently not worth it.

    what after that?

good tune up, lid(free ram air mod also), sfc and stb(strut tower brace), catback, stall(tranny cooler also), headers(long for the most gains, mid, short for emissions), 98-00 ls6 intake manifold, gears(3.73, 4.10, etc), tune

List goes on and on...people do them in different order depending on whats important to them. Do the tune up and get the sfc, the order on the rest doesn't really matter. Headers get the best bolt-on gains...the lid is a very easy bolt-on. Do the free mods also(fra, throttle body bypass, etc)...their pretty much free and are easy. good luck
