Corvette wheel on Camaro 98
Hello !
Hello from France !
I have some questions :
Can I have '97 Corvette C5 wheels on my '98 Camaro Z28 ?
Not replica wheels, real Corvette wheels.
Because I want to have this wheels :
97 Corvette wheels
Can you says me if I need wheel spacer and what the reference ?
What size off tire can I have on this wheels for my Camaro ?
This Corvette wheels are in 17" in front and 18" in rear.
Have you some pictures off a Camaro with this wheels because I don't find any pictures.
(Scuse for my English!)

if you do the 17 and 18, then use 245/45-17 and 285/35-18 tire sizes. they are the same diameter and will not trip the ABS system. it's what i have on both of my cars.

mrr23, how do you get the abs inop and brake light off? I have a 2 inch difference between my tires and those lights magically showed up. I read some where before it is easy to get rid of it with 98's but not newer computers and I have a 98.

what are your tires sizes? from the pictures, the rears look taller than the front. if so, you aren't getting rid of the light. the tires overall diameter front to rear have to be the same. for instance. my tire sizes 245/45-17 and 285/35-18 ar both 25.7" tall. when you have two different heights, the ABS thinks the tires going slower and skidding. is your brake pedal kicking back when you apply it?

No, and the lights only come on when I go over 55mph. I just remember someone say its easy to get rid of on a 98 and I didnt pay much attention to it. Now that I need to know how to do it, I cant find the post any where. The rears are 27.03'' and the fronts are 25.0''. I was thinking it was they computers way of saying theres a flat tire. It does have the tire monitor on it doesnt it?

the problem is the different tire heights. there is no tire monitor. the ABS senses different tire speeds and assumes the slower tires, in this case the rears, are sliding due to the slower speeds. easy way to tun the light off, pull the bulb out. the correct way is to get the rear tires the same height. having taller tires in the rear is lifting the rear up and changing the center of gravity more forward. this can lead to oversteer problems and braking issues.
yes, the corvettes have different tire heights from the factory, but the car was designed around it.
