HD and old console systems

I just upgraded to a projector and an hd cable box and its AWESOME, but I'm having a problem when I connect my old video game systems! Any of the ones that use the coax splitter as the input result in a total loss of picture and sound (other then the cable boxs menu for some reason??)!

are there any converters i can get to make them work? i'd love to have my NES on a 100" screen

it worked fine when i had my old (nonHD) cable box connected?

get a coaxle to rca converter. they sell them at radio shack and walmart. should work just fine after that.

my son plays NES on our 57" HD hitachi hooked up front with composite cables just fine, i only use the coaxial hookup for my set top antenna. if you have enough inputs ( ive got 5) that would be the easiest and cheapest.
