some good chioces are :
SLP Loudmouth $400 - very loud
Magnaflow $450 - stainless - low rumble until full throttle
Borla $800 stainless - adjustable
There are many other choices as well. Any one will gain you hp and a nice sound. Just stay away from flowmaster.

now now now, a flowmaster will give you great sound i have a 40 series flowmaster and i love its sound, deep rumble and lout wot sound but quiet enough not to attract too much attention as the SLP loudmouth would

I too like the sound of a flowmaster but have saw losses on a dynojet and mustang dyno with a flowmaster, even up to a 25 horsepower difference on a full bolt on heads, cam car. I personally prefer the magnaflow, barely a loss on the dyno like less then 5 horsepower and for the money its a decent piece but if your talking real exhaust I use a h-pipe setup with eldebrock true duals dumped before the axle but again i would only reccomend this to some-one with a camshaft.

I just had the SLP LM on my last Z it was pretty good. I liked the rumble it gave me. Then I totalled that one and got the one i have now and it came with some sort of flowmaster catback. And to be honest, it sounded better than the LM all the way around. Loud at WOT and a good rumble at idle. But since I installed my LT's, the car is quieter than what it used to be, so now, I am getting another LM for this car. But some people don't like LT's and LM combination, I think its going to sound RAW.

Whats so bad about the Diablo tuners?
there is nothing bad at all, unless you dont know how to use them. i have one and it's great, you can monitor shift points, fan temp...too much to list but a very good investment by far.

Honestly what I would have done now instead of a catback is just electronic cutouts, so that when u get headers u can still use the stock catback to be quiet and when u want to be loud just open up the cutouts.

I would estimate right about the same. +/- 5hp/tq respectively...

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
What about using the Diablo after a Hooker LTH and ORY installation? I just did that today and now need a tune.
I think my exhaust is now more raspy when I am on it, and almost as quiet when just cruising. I have a Raven performance muffler from Midas, it had a deep tone before my LT/ORY. I might be looking for a different muffler now. I do like the looks of my stock tailpipes, so I will just maybe be looking for another muffler.
