dyno tuning 101

Hey guys, I'd like some help here. I really want to learn dyno tuning and have the resources to do so. The only downside is that the person who's willing to teach me is very busy all the time, so I'd need to learn the basis by myself first. Is there anyone out there that can help me or recommend me to some reading material for this? First, I need the breakdown as far as what is tuned and the differences in software.

basis is theory. start with reading the book, How to tune engine management systems. a friend of mine has a blog where he has a tremendous amount of information. he's helped me a great deal!!!
