I have a 1998 Pontiac Transam. I would like to put 315-37-17 drag radials on it. What is the widest wheel and Tire package that will fit? How wide of wheel, what back space?

I believe that an 11" wide rim with a 50mm offset is what you want to run. You will most likely need the BFH mod in the wheel well and to shave the bump stops.

do you mean to grind the bump stops off or how much do i take off the bump stops? I put 315x17 tires on 11 inch wide wheels with 8inch backspace when i jack the car up about 1/2 inch of the bump stop is hitting inside the wheel

The metal tabs on the mounting pad extend past the bump stops. Easily removed with a die grinder.
