Arrow Road Trip to MT-The Lost City ~Pics~

I went for a road to trip to Montana to drive over my favorite stretch of pavement on this entire continent the Logan’s pass. The pass was still impassible because of the sever snow volume at the summit:

So I had to turn back and take a route through a little know pass in the Rocky Mountains. It was a sunny hot day so I had the tee roof panels off and I could smell something foul on the desolate highway. I came up on a lost ancient civilization!

As I exited SoW to discover the source of the death like smell I entered the first building.

It seemed this ancient people used this transparent case to breed insects for food?!?

I left the breeding room and entered a strange large meeting room with age old markings:

I could not find the source of the rotting smell so I left the greeting building out the back door:

After going through the door I was in a courtyard of multiple buildings that looked to be living quarters for this long lost race of people:

I explored each of these ‘homes’ to see if I could find this dead body that saturated my sense of smell:

As was documented from these photos the buildings were hardly empty but I could not bring myself to dig around in the pile of ancient artifacts to see if I could locate the source of this strange putrid smell.

Then I can across a giant meeting hall:

I opened the door to discover yet more ancient artifacts:

    A large council table?!?

Then I discovered amidst the ruins a clue posted in the wall of the great hall:

I went through and out of the great hall only to discover yet another building, but this tomb was still sealed to the elements. So I did what any explorer would do and kicked in the door to rescue the contents:

Inside I found more artifacts but no decaying body…

I looked out back of this series of buildings to find a path leading somewhere deep in the forest. It eventually came to a clearing:

In the center of this clearing was some sort of a ‘ritual sacrificial device’:

Was this where human sacrifices took place and if so what did the strange red, white, and blue flagging mean?

On the outskirts to the clearing I found one more structure:

Could this be the hanging/waiting room for the soon to be sacrificed to await their respective fates? There were huge hooks installed to hang the ‘meat’:

I did not discover the strange source of the death infested smell but I plan to return some day with a team of specialists to further educate the world on this ancient people to better understand the history of the human race…..
