fuel pump issue
i am having a problem with my walbro fuel pump on my trans am. i am running a sts turbo and a zex nitrous system on my car and and my injectors are 42lbs. when i first installed this on the car it worked fine but about 10 starts later it is not starting the car on the first few tries anymore. when the car does start it runs completely fine but will not start the car well. when i turn the key over i can not hear the fuel pump start up. if you are familiar with the sts turbo you know the external oil pump also runs off of the fuel pump wire so it fills the lines when you turn the key over and it is coming on fine so its getting signal. any ideas???????

it should be very easy to hear open your drivers door before you key on and just listen for the woosh/hiss/hum of the pump..it should last about 2 seconds, then go quiet. if you cant hear it, sounds like its not energizing on key on. ? Another way would be to hookup a fuel pressure gauge before keying on...see what the pressure is...then turn the key and check again. It should pressurize fully. If you dont have a gauge, rent one from autozone.

here's my to cents, your fuel pump is also voltage regluated ,run the oil pump on its own line. your robbing the fuel pump of volts = less fuel presser. Well thats my thorey
Mabe also a alt. to fuel pump hot wire kit
