Manual to Power Seat Conversion
Have a 95 Trans Am with the stock cloth manual seats. What are folks experience with converting this type of seat to a power seat by swapping in a 6 way power seat track assembly? Looks doable on paper and can get all the parts (switch, harness, power assembly with motors) off eBay for about $ 150. Am I off base here? Looking at the power leather seats, looking at $ 500 to $ 900 plus another $ 400 shipping. The cloth seats are good having been redune in OME cloth two years ago. Looking to add that one or two inches flexibility these standard seats don't have. Looking down the road a few years when I retire for my wife and I going cross-country with the TA. Anything I can do now to make that happen is a plus.
Thanks everyone.
